Hmmm…
What a difference a day makes. A parent posted about 200 photos this morning. She apparently spends time in Annapolis, and she happened to be on the Yard just before the noon formation. As I went through her photos looking for the Wonder Boy, I saw a lot of unhappy faces.
Ya’ know…this is typical of the military, right? One minute the class of 2012 is off to a great start. The next minute, we see photos of the same class and everyone looks miserable.
Check this out:
Now that’s what it’s supposed to look like. I guess the cadres were either forming up or giving a demonstration to the plebes. They look solid, right? Here’s the Class of ’12 going into Bancroft Hall:
They don’t look quite as good, right?
Oh, and here’s the smirk-free Marky-Mark:
See him there near the back? He doesn’t look so care free today, right? Here’s another:
Everyone in his company looks a wee bit unhappy. I wonder what happened?
Ah, but aren’t we lucky? We get to see shots like this! Not so long ago parents had no idea what was going on.
There are lots of sources of information and photos out there. I plan to spend a few moments every day looking for something interesting. Call it a coping mechanism..
Bear with me.
